No opinion

Just like what Dale Carnegie really meant, but most of the people that read his book, “How to win friends and influence people” misunderstood him to be teaching hypocracy, if I say not to announce opinions, others might think the same. But the truth has been realized through experience, that very few ever like to hear an opinion. We all want to be heard and agreed to. Amazingly once anyone starts to just listen to what people have to say, and not interupt then gradually it will dawn that they are all justified in whatever they say. A time will then come when what they say shall make sense. In a nutshell this posting is giving it’s readers all that Dale Carnegie tried to establish through his book!

Thoughts, and intentions

May 12, 2007 by shillings

We decide what should rain over us. Surprised? but this is true! It is our thoughts and intentions that affect our actions. It not only afects our actions but also our surroundings. The way to realize this truth is to try it out seriously. Try it for a few weeks and see for yourselves.
Completely stop thinking negatively. Think positively about matters that concern you, and believe in the best of results. Think good! Be charitable in your thoughts of others.
Just like how the atmosphere evaporates and becomes clouds that rain, in the same way our thoughts and intentions too transforms into either favorable or unfavorable circumstances that rain upon us and we have to face them. Just remember that practice makes perfect, so keep practicing good thoughts!

Where and how?

Sometime in the past, doctors used to make house visits, return phone calls and be friendly. What happened to make them stop all that? Maybe if we were in their shoes, we too would stop.
What is your opinion?

Just an opinion

I heard that when children are taken for their regular vaccinations they get scared and cry. No one cares about how they feel the trauma. What can be done about it? Can child psychology help in training parents, nurses and doctors how to be careful?

Mother Earth

July 9, 2006 by shillings

Some years ago, I was at the house of an architect discussing with him my idea of a house design. He listened to what I had to say very attentively, and after a few minutes of silence he said, “I cannot say anything before I see and feel the land.” I understood the fact that he has to see the property first, but what confused me was that he said he needs to feel the land too.
To my surprise that is exactly what he did, when I took him to see the place. At first he took off his shoes and socks and started walking barefoot on the land, as he called it. Then he crouched and put both the palms of his hands on the soil, as if to feel something there.
His face lit up when he did that and in a husky voice said, “She is willing! Yes, we can build.”
Later I found out that he was also an engineer, and a builder as well, which ofcourse made things much easier for me.
In the days that followed while the house was being built, I learned from him how important it is for us to walk barefoot sometimes in and around where we live. I also learned the different kinds of vibrations the earth gives in response to the human body touch. She speaks through electrical waves that can be felt but it needs tremendous concentration to receive.
One evening he had invited me to his house for sharing a bottle of Cognac. Later he took me to his backyard and pointing to the land he said, “The only reason how our Physical body if trained well can understand earth’s whispers is that we physically have a deep connection with it. Our body came from it and to it shall return!

No love

My parents were both career concious and I was left to myself to grow. Until I was 18, all I did was just hang out with friends like me, and very few of them were good in their schools. Then I decided to work and my elder brother offered me a job in his general retail shop. The shop was not doing well, and the salary I got was just enough to buy tickets on weekends for movies, and take my girl out for ice cream.
On my thirtieth birthday, my girl left me for someone more successful in life. Then I met an old friend and he offered me a job in his old man’s Ice Cream plant. I was trained to be a sales promoter and sent out in their truck to different places and try getting stores to buy from us. This really gave me a lot of experience in dealing with people. The promotion department also did the advertisements. So I learned much about advertisements and ways to improve.  This went on for almost six years and one day I heard that the old man died in his sleep. He was a good man and looked after his workers well. I lost interest after that, and decided to be my own boss.
It has been four years now as a self employed merchant.
I buy from wholesale items that are hand made, and I have a few buyers in my list.
The bottom line here is that I am trying to share my story to anyone that may benefit from it, and experience the joy that independence from being a burden on others, gives. The joy of being able to pay your own bills!

Gentlemangreen.
